Graphic Designer & Visual Communication Specialist

Education and Academic Background

Samet Bayraktar was born in Trabzon, Turkey. At the age of 16, he passed a talent exam and began his art education at the Fine Arts High School, majoring in painting. Later, he was accepted into the Department of Graphic Design at Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Fine Arts through another talent-based entrance exam. He received a four-year education in graphic design, brand identity, and visual communication, graduating in 2021.

Professional Experience

After graduation, Bayraktar started his professional career at the Turkey Design Council as a graphic designer and social media manager. He managed the council’s corporate social media accounts, developed content strategies, and designed visual identities for European Union development projects. He also handled the photography and videography of workshops and seminars, creating visual documentation for each event. This experience strengthened his collaborative work skills and broadened his design vision by keeping up with global design trends.

Freelance Work and Creative Projects

In 2023, Bayraktar began working as a freelancer, focusing on brand identity, book cover design, and video content production. That same year, he produced a three-episode documentary series on YouTube titled “In Kuzguncuk.” The series explores the relationship between designers and their creative spaces in Kuzguncuk — a historic neighborhood in Istanbul known for its cultural diversity and strong sense of community. Each episode features a different designer and craft, reflecting the area’s rich design culture and artistic spirit.
